Position: Implementation Planner III – Nuclear

Duration: 12 Months
Location: 7821 River Road, Waynesboro, GA 30830.

Client: Southern Nuclear

Position Overview

The Implementation Planner III is responsible for developing and managing implementation schedules for projects within a nuclear facility. This role ensures coordination across engineering, construction, and operations teams while maintaining strict adherence to nuclear safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong scheduling expertise, technical project experience, and the ability to manage complex implementation timelines in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and manage detailed implementation schedules for nuclear facility projects
  • Establish project milestones and track progress against timelines
  • Coordinate sequencing of engineering, construction, and operational activities
  • Identify schedule risks and implement mitigation strategies

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with:
    • Engineering teams
    • Construction personnel
    • Operations and maintenance staff
  • Facilitate planning meetings and ensure alignment among stakeholders
  • Communicate schedule updates, risks, and progress to leadership

Safety & Quality Compliance

  • Ensure implementation plans comply with:
    • Nuclear safety standards
    • Quality assurance requirements
    • Regulatory obligations
  • Align project execution with site procedures and industry best practices

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor field execution and validate milestone completion
  • Update schedules to reflect real-time progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation of planning activities

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Engineering
    • Project Management
    • Business or related discipline

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in implementation planning for technical or engineering projects
  • Experience working in nuclear or highly regulated industrial environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, scheduling methodologies, and milestone management
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Preferred:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
