Smartmatic is hiring: Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to help deliver reliable, high-quality election technology. You will design, document, and execute test cases that validate software functionality, performance, reliability, and integrated system behavior.
\n
In this role, you will perform hands-on manual testing, identify and document defects, support regression testing, review requirements and specifications, and collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and continuously improve our quality practices.
\n
What you’ll bring:
\n
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing
\n
• Strong manual testing, test execution, and defect-tracking experience
\n
• Ability to create, maintain, and execute clear, thorough test cases
\n
• Experience testing APIs, databases, or integrated software systems is a plus
\n
• Familiarity with Jira, Git, test-management tools, and QA best practices
\n
• Exposure to test automation, scripting, or regression testing is preferred
\n
• Experience validating hardware, firmware, peripherals, or software-hardware integrations is a plus
\n
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience
