Position Title: Senior Linux Administrator

Clearance Required: Active TS Clearance

Location: Telework (May report to Mt. Weather, VA when required)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in administering, provisioning, securing, troubleshooting, and upgrading Linux-based environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise-level system administration, automation, and performance optimization, as well as proven expertise in maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available Linux infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers
• Provision and optimize physical and virtual servers
• Implement and maintain system security and compliance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
• Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations
• Automate tasks with Bash, Python, Ansible, Puppet, etc.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams
• Document procedures and mentor junior staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years of Linux system administration experience
• Expertise in Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or equivalent
• Virtualization (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V) and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) experience
• Strong networking, monitoring, and scripting skills
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Certifications:

• RHCE, LPIC2/3, AWS SysOps Administrator, or similar cloud certification
