  • This position requires flexibility with shift schedules, including weekend coverage (Saturday or Sunday) and the ability to work either morning or swing shifts.

  • ie. Be based in the Eastern Time Zone and start work at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM Pacific Time, or• Be based in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone and work until 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM Pacific Time.

What this Job Entails:

\n

The Network Engineer II is a focal point for all internal and external orders required to maintain the network. This position requires the ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to details.

  • Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
  • \n

  • Works on problems of moderate scope
  • \n

  • Receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects
  • \n

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

\n


\n

Major duty:

\n

    \n
  • • Serving as the first point of defense for all network-related incidents, providing 24x7network support for production and corporate network.
  • \n

  • Technical skills:
  • \n

  • • Troubleshooting layer 1-3 issues and maintain WAN, BGP, ISIS, LAN, FHRP, VLAN, STP, etc. and related services.
  • \n

  • Daily jobs:
  • \n

  • • Proactively monitor production network health, assess potential risks and take
  • \n

  • mitigation actions to ensure quick service restoration.
  • \n

  • • Deliver customer-centric support through multiple communication channels.
  • \n

  • • Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for network changes
  • \n

  • management, issue analysis and mitigation strategies
  • \n

  • Install, configure and maintain various network hosts and services like routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints
  • \n

  • Perform network maintenances/upgrades (often during normal working hours, but sometimes during the evening or weekend)
  • \n

  • Troubleshooting network issues and outages
  • \n

  • Participate in global production and corporate network including edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure
  • \n

  • Handle multiple vendor switch on various servers in dealing with hardware/software issues
  • \n

  • Handle traffic, and any queries raised by ISP/Partners
  • \n

  • Provide support for any incidents such as input errors, CRC, RMA etc.
  • \n

  • Work directly with ISP/Vendors on fixing any issues related to network
  • \n

  • This is a shift-based position and may include weekend or swing shifts.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • \n

  • Have a full understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, active directory, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines and software applications
  • \n

  • Builds productive internal and external working relationships
  • \n

  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • \n

  • Familiarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies
  • \n

  • Understanding of server hardware technologies relative to content delivery performance and capacity
  • \n

  • CCNA or equivalent
  • \n
