Client First Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for managing multiple projects under a program-level contract with our government customer. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day execution and management of assigned projects and team members in support of a variety of project and data management activities for a national program office. The ideal candidate must possess an excellent project management background and have demonstrated experience managing concurrently running projects. This is a full-time position located in Frederick, Maryland.

Requirements:
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross-functional projects
- Work closely with the client and contracting teams to deliver high quality projects spanning data management, software development, training development and execution, and financial management and budgeting (Plan Program Budget Execution (PPBE)
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives in accordance with the customer technical requirements
- Manage large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, prioritize tasks, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner
- Develop and manage team-level project management artifacts, including the project management plan, risk register, issue log, quality management plan
- Manage projects across the complete lifecycle from planning and initiation to closeout
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate/make trade-offs, and balance stakeholder needs within project constraints; advise customer management, as needed, to ensure progress is not hindered
- Identify and mitigate risks, solve problems, and make informed decisions
- Create and communicate project-level status reports, presenting to a variety of stakeholders spanning program to executive leadership
- Provide leadership and management to the team, including performance appraisals
- Advise on complex system projects
- Implement and execute Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives
- Elicit customer technical and project requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in project management
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Experience managing projects across the complete lifecycle from planning and initiation to closeout
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks, solve problems, and make informed decisions
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, especially across a portfolio of projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management-relevant certification (PMP, PgMP, or Government FAC PM Level III)
- Experience with government acquisition lifecycle management, procurement processes and practices, and government contract management
- Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs
Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
- Occasional travel and overtime may be required

- This position is subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility for a position designated with Low Risk sensitivity. Candidates with current Veterans Affairs (VA) Tier 1/Low Background Investigation or equivalent (e.g., DoD Tier 3/NACLC, Active Secret) are preferred
