Job Summary
\n
\n
We are seeking a highly motivated Virtual ECU & Simulation Engineer to support the development of next-generation vehicle controller testing platforms. This role will focus on developing and deploying Soft ECUs, Virtual ECUs, and virtual test environments (xIL) to enable early and continuous verification of automotive software and vehicle functions.
\n
You will work within a global, software-driven engineering organization and collaborate closely with software development, systems, and test engineers from the early design phase through final validation. The role requires a strong test-first mindset, with an emphasis on identifying design, architecture, and software issues as early as possible in the development lifecycle.
\n
The virtual testing environment will support multiple automotive domains, including ADAS/AD, Energy Management, E-Powertrain, Body, Cockpit, and Connected Services.
\n
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain virtual test platforms (xIL) for next-generation vehicle controllers.
- Develop and configure Soft ECUs (sECUs) and Virtual ECUs (vECUs) at different levels of abstraction.
- Develop and implement MIL, SIL, HIL, and other xIL-based testing methodologies for automotive applications.
- Establish toolchains and methodologies for virtual ECU generation, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Perform both open-loop and closed-loop testing within highly virtualized environments.
- Support virtual testing across ADAS/AD, energy management, e-powertrain, body, cockpit, and connected vehicle domains.
- Collaborate with software development and test engineers within agile teams, starting from the early design phase through system validation.
- Apply a test-first/test-early approach to verify requirements, software implementations, system behavior, and logical architecture.
- Develop and advance virtualization, co-simulation, and system-integration methodologies.
- Troubleshoot, root-cause, and resolve issues related to virtual test platforms, ECU models, toolchains, and system integration.
- Automate vECU generation, platform integration, testing, and deployment to support end-to-end CI/CD workflows.
- Support continuous design verification, continuous testing, and continuous deployment within virtualized environments.
- Develop and apply model-based and model-driven testing approaches during early development, including prototypes and proof-of-concept activities.
- Establish and improve testing methodologies for advanced automotive features, including ADAS and EV systems.
- Communicate technical issues, test results, risks, and recommendations effectively across cross-functional engineering teams.
