Project Manager – Manufacturing

Location: Paterson, NJ
Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 per year
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Please note: This position is not related to IT or Construction Project Management. Candidates with backgrounds in those fields will not be considered.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Manufacturing to join our team in Paterson, NJ. This role will serve as the key liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure smooth coordination, timely delivery, and successful execution of manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills within a production or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison to business customers to gather specifications, component codes, BOMs, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and shipping details.
• Monitor and manage project progress—including components, WIP, and tooling—to ensure timely deliverables.
• Provide regular project status updates to customers, identifying and helping resolve any issues impacting completion.
• Coordinate project planning, development, documentation, and production across departments to ensure success and quality.
• Allocate and adjust resources as needed; provide direction, feedback, and support to project team members.
• Offer guidance to the team on administrative and technical matters, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Develop and refine processes to support mission-critical systems and improve project execution.
• Participate in business process improvement and redesign initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management or production planning within a manufacturing or similar business environment.
• Strong understanding of raw materials, inventory control, and MRP systems.
• Proven ability to analyze complex problems, evaluate solutions, and implement effective strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, customer-focused mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
