Position Overview
The Network and Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and software. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of all technology systems while providing technical support and guidance to end users and other IT staff.

Key Responsibilities
• System Administration
oInstall, configure, and maintain servers (Windows, Linux, or both).
oManage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory, Azure AD, or other directory services.
oPerform system monitoring, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and capacity planning.
oApply system patches, updates, and configuration changes as needed.
• Network & Security Management
oAdminister firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs to maintain secure network connectivity.
oMonitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
oImplement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery solutions.
oEnforce cybersecurity best practices and respond to security incidents.
• Support & Troubleshooting
oProvide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support to resolve complex system and user issues.
oCollaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve hardware and software issues.
oDocument system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Project & Process Management
oParticipate in IT infrastructure projects such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, and network enhancements.
oEvaluate and recommend new technologies to improve IT efficiency and performance.
oAssist in developing IT policies, procedures, and documentation.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5+ years of experience in systems administration, network management, or IT infrastructure support.
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of:
oWindows Server and/or Linux environments
oActive Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
oVirtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
oCloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
oBackup and disaster recovery solutions
oNetwork protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, firewalls)
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) a plus.
Certifications (Preferred)
• Microsoft Certified: Systems Administrator / Azure Administrator
• CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Server+
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
