Job Title: Data Analyst
Job Summary:
CASES is a New York City non-profit organization at the forefront of pretrial services, alternative-to-incarceration, and behavioral health treatment programs for people impacted by the criminal legal system. CASES is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Data and Analytics team, supporting reporting needs for our Education, Career, and Enrichment (ECE) department. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organized problem-solver who can understand both program operations and contract reporting requirements. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel, meets deadlines consistently, and is eager to learn emerging data reporting and analysis techniques. Shift Hours: This position is full-time Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: The salary for this role is $60,000 per year
Location Address: 151 Lawrence Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Our office is easily accessible by public transportation.
Workplace Flexibility: Remote - This role is primarily remote but requires training attendance and occasional in-person meetings.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Extract, transform and format data from agency databases into data reports for monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting.
- Analyze key program and operational outcomes to enhance agency understanding of underlying trends and performance.
- Develop proficiency in program operations and agency databases.
- Work collaboratively with program staff/leadership with varying levels of data expertise to identify missing/inaccurate data and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Assist with the development of data visualizations/dashboards ensuring ECE services staff are equipped with the data to operate effectively.
- Execute queries in databases to respond to the needs of the executive team, funders, government oversight agencies, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
- Manage special assignments and assist with requests for proposals, foundation reports and fundraising.
- Perform duties in accordance with CASES’ mission, cultural competency, anti-discriminatory and other policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as required by the Manager and Senior/Executive staff.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, v-lookup and other Functions) and MS Office.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and remain highly organized.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and exemplary follow-up and follow-through.
- Commitment to social justice and knowledge of NYC criminal justice system and alternatives to incarceration programs.
Preferred Skills:
- Salesforce experience.
- Power BI experience.
