Microsoft Power BI Developer/Support Specialist
Location: Raritan, NJ (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Contract Role: 6 months to start, potential for extension
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Power BI Support Specialist to join the support team for our Fortune 500 client. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our employees and partners in using Power BI. This includes troubleshooting technical issues, providing guidance on best practices, helping with licensing, setting up data gateways, troubleshooting gateway issues, and helping with their use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and assistance to end users with Power BI
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.
- Assist with custom visuals.
- Investigate issues with Power BI Gateways, update credentials as necessary.
- Help users with connection issues.
- Check and troubleshoot licensing.
- Create service principles.
- Create new workspaces.
- Help with PBI Desktop installations.
- Install and test drivers for new data connection sources.
- Manage the PBI Service settings in the Microsoft Admin Portal
Qualifications:
- Experience with Power BI and other data visualization tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with networking is a plus.
- Power Apps/Automate experience also a plus
- Development experience is a plus, but this is a support focused role for Power BI
