Duties
- Provision and administer systems, applications, user access, and configurations; support Active Directory management and Windows Server administration.
- Troubleshoot software, operating systems, networks, and infrastructure across Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments.
- Support server administration, storage management, RAID controllers, backup and recovery, virtualization with VMware or Azure, and load balancing.
- Assist with system design, solution architecture, service-oriented architecture, and microservices; support APIs, RESTful APIs, and software implementation through the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Use automation, scripting, and configuration management to support system tuning, performance tuning, security, and reliable operations.
Experience
- Experience in system administration, software administration, systems and applications support, technical troubleshooting, or related IT infrastructure work.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and tools, including VPN, firewalls, DHCP, and DNS; familiarity with information security and computer management.
- Relevant technical skills may include JavaScript, Python, Bash (Unix shell), shell scripting, Git, Jenkins, Pegasystems, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Understanding of computer science, system architecture, systems engineering, and operating systems is valuable; experience with server administration, system troubleshooting, and software troubleshooting is preferred.
