This role is responsible for establishing the overall QA framework across clinical, administrative, and billing workflows, leading complex data conversion and ETL validation, coordinating vendor release testing, and ensuring strict compliance with healthcare regulatory, audit, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

QA Strategy, Governance, & Leadership
• Establish and maintain the overall QA strategy, testing governance, test schedules, resource plans, and risk management frameworks for the EHR SaaS platform.
• Serve as the primary QA lead and point of contact for program leadership, IT engineering teams, third-party vendors, and clinical stakeholders.
• Drive defect management, triage, and resolution processes using enterprise test management tools (Azure DevOps, ALM, Jira), ensuring issues are retested and validated prior to deployment.
• Produce regular executive reporting on testing execution metrics, defect trends, quality risks, and release readiness.

Functional, Integration, & UAT Execution
• Lead functional, system, and regression testing across core EHR modules including clinical documentation, scheduling, order entry, medications, pharmacy, and billing.
• Validate end-to-end clinical and administrative user workflows across diverse operational roles (clinicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, registration, and billing personnel).
• Ensure full test coverage for SaaS configuration changes, vendor releases, inbound/outbound system interfaces, and downstream reporting impacts.
• Partner with business and clinical SMEs to design User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios, guide UAT execution, and coordinate formal testing sign-off.

Data Migration & ETL Validation
• Lead data conversion and migration testing from legacy EHR and ancillary systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and historical record reconciliation.
• Review and execute tests for ETL pipelines, data mapping specifications, field-level verification rules, record counts, and exception reports.
• Audit patient, clinical, pharmacy, and financial data structures during pre-load and post-load validation phases.
• Maintain complete test plans, test cases, requirements traceability matrices (RTMs), and evidence artifacts in alignment with compliance and audit standards.

Required Qualifications
• 11 or more years of experience in QA Lead, QA Manager, or Test Management leadership roles.
• 11 or more years of hands-on experience in data validation, data migration, and complex ETL pipeline testing.
• 11 or more years of experience leading functional testing across EHR modules (clinical, scheduling, orders, medications, pharmacy, documentation, and billing) and validating end-to-end workflows.
• 11 or more years of experience leading data conversion and migration testing from legacy EHR and ancillary systems, including validation of patient, clinical, pharmacy, and billing records.
• 11 or more years of experience testing SaaS platform configurations, vendor releases, interfaces, inbound/outbound data feeds, and downstream reporting.
• 11 or more years of experience creating and maintaining comprehensive test plans, test cases, requirements traceability matrices (RTMs), and audit-ready test evidence.
• 11 or more years of experience coordinating complex testing activities with software vendors, IT delivery teams, and multidisciplinary business stakeholders.
• 11 or more years of hands-on proficiency with enterprise test management tools such as Azure DevOps, ALM, or Jira.

Preferred Qualifications
• 8 or more years of experience supporting large-scale EHR software implementations.
• 6 or more years of experience with healthcare data standards, including HL7, FHIR, CCD/A, ICD, and CPT.
• 6 or more years of experience working with HIPAA, data privacy, security, and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Direct experience supporting state or public sector healthcare organizations.

Core Skills & Attributes
• Strong leadership, communication, and executive reporting capabilities.
• Expert-level knowledge of quality assurance governance, defect triage, and software testing life cycles (STLC).
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for complex healthcare workflow validation and data reconciliation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while guiding multidisciplinary clinical and technical teams.
