QUALIFICATIONSState of Iowa HVAC LicenseValid driver's licenseMeets criteria of Level 4+ technician (NATE certification preferred)Minimum 3 years in customer service or management within a service industry (or equivalent education/experience)Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprintsBroad HVAC troubleshooting across furnaces, AC, geothermal, heat pumps, boilers, and rooftop unitsAbility to safely operate scissors and genie liftsKnowledge of basic sheet metal practicesUnderstanding of air balancing principles and techniquesExperience making repair and replacement decisionsStrong computer skills; highly organizedAdvanced customer service and communication skillsDemonstrated leadership and accountabilityHigh School Diploma or equivalentStrong proficiency with ServiceTitan or similar service management softwareResides within 30 miles of our locationPreferred qualifications:NATE certification and comfort implementing tools like MeasureQuick YOUR SCHEDULEFull-timeMonday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PMSome evenings and weekends as neededYou will only be on an on-call rotation and will not be expected to work every weekend. WHAT TO EXPECT AS AN HVAC TECHNICAL ADVISORYou start your day as an HVAC Technical Advisor by aligning schedules and priorities, then you're off-coaching a tech through MeasureQuick diagnostics, riding along to reinforce clean paperwork and clear customer communication, and fielding calls to troubleshoot issues remotely. When an escalated job appears, you step in, interpret readings, make the repair-or-replacement call, and ensure payment is handled per procedure. You present a concise training topic at an in-house meeting, collaborate with installers on a tricky retrofit, review callbacks with management to prevent repeats, and keep the team ready for industry changes like refrigerant updates. Throughout the day, you maintain communication with the office for dispatching, keep vehicles and tools inspection-ready, uphold safety and code compliance, support recruiting with trade schools, and champion a culture that blends craftsmanship with outstanding service.
