Compensation: $30–$35 per hour ($62,400–$72,800 annually)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
About the Opportunity
BG Staffing is seeking an experienced Mobile Engineer (MES) to support a portfolio of approximately 20–25 Bank of America retail branch locations throughout the West Palm Beach, Florida area.
This is a remote, field-based position ideal for a hands-on commercial building engineer who enjoys working independently, traveling between properties, and maintaining building systems across multiple locations.
The Mobile Engineer will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and facility inspections to ensure building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
The selected candidate will work closely with Lead/Chief Engineers and the Operations Manager while delivering a high level of customer service to a high-priority client.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders across assigned commercial properties.
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Maintain and repair building equipment, electrical distribution systems, plumbing, lighting, fixtures, and interior/exterior building components.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and identify conditions requiring maintenance or corrective action.
- Respond to facility emergencies and service requests as needed.
- Document completed work, report equipment conditions, and communicate recommended repairs or improvements to management.
- Become familiar with building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and other building-related equipment.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas while following applicable safety procedures and building codes.
- Support occasional after-hours or on-call maintenance needs as required.
- Provide professional, responsive communication and maintain a strong customer-service presence at all assigned locations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of commercial building engineering or facilities maintenance experience.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of HVAC systems, particularly packaged HVAC equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and general building repairs.
- Universal CFC recovery certification.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Ability to travel between assigned Bank of America locations throughout West Palm Beach, FL.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and customer-service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple property locations.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 feet.
- Must be able to successfully complete the required background, credit, criminal, drug screening, and motor vehicle record checks.
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
- 30-minute lunch break.
- $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
- Occasional on-call responsibilities; these are infrequent.
- Tools, company cell phone, company van, transportation, and uniform provided by client.
