Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

· 12+ years of experience in software architecture, API platform engineering, and enterprise application development.
\n
· Strong experience designing and building enterprise API platforms and reusable API frameworks from scratch.
\n
· Hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger, and microservices architecture.
\n
· Experience with API Gateway technologies such as Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, NGINX, AWS API Gateway, or similar.
\n
· Strong understanding of API security, including OAuth2, JWT, SSO, mTLS, authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement.
\n
· Experience implementing load balancing, traffic management, throttling, failover, high availability, and resiliency patterns.
\n
· Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL, database design, performance tuning, and data access layer architecture.
\n
· Experience with caching, connection pooling, service discovery, fault tolerance, and distributed systems.
\n
· Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
\n
· Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Dynatrace, or similar.
\n
· Strong understanding of API governance, versioning, lifecycle management, and consumer onboarding processes.
\n
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Experience with enterprise data services and reference data platforms.
\n
· Exposure to event-driven architecture and messaging technologies such as Kafka, MQ, or RabbitMQ.

· Experience in Banking, Capital Markets, Trading, or Financial Services environments.

· Experience supporting multiple applications through a centralized API platform.
\n
· Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

· Experience supporting mission-critical, high-volume transactional systems.

Roles & Responsibilities
\n
\n
· Design and build a scalable enterprise API platform and reusable API framework from the ground up.
\n
· Develop and architect RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
\n
· Design real-time, historical, and point-in-time business data access services.
\n
· Configure and manage API Gateway capabilities including routing, load balancing, throttling, failover, and service orchestration.
\n
· Define and implement API security standards, versioning strategies, governance models, and lifecycle management processes.
\n
· Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth2, JWT, SSO, and mTLS.
\n
· Design and implement caching, connection pooling, resiliency, and performance optimization solutions.
\n
· Build reusable components and services that can be consumed by multiple internal and external applications.
\n
· Establish API consumer onboarding processes and API access management standards.
\n
· Implement logging, monitoring, tracing, alerting, analytics, and usage reporting capabilities.
\n
· Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, database, DevOps, and architecture teams to deliver end-to-end platform solutions.
\n
· Support performance testing, production deployment, troubleshooting, operational readiness, and platform governance.
\n
· Provide architecture leadership, technical guidance, and best practices for API platform adoption across the organization.
