What you will do:
- Design, validate, and implement scalable system architectures including servers, databases, and network infrastructure.
- Evaluate complex systems for performance, scalability, and efficiency improvements.
- Define architectural standards, frameworks, and technical design approaches.
- Develop and document hardware and network infrastructure configurations.
- Support automation through scripting and system optimization.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful system integration and performance.
- Provide technical oversight during implementation, testing, deployment, and transition to operations.
- Analyze legacy environments and recommend modernization strategies to improve system performance and maintainability.
- Support capacity planning, disaster recovery, continuity, and lifecycle management considerations within solution designs.
- Prepare and maintain architecture diagrams, technical roadmaps, engineering artifacts, and supporting documentation.
- Present technical solutions and recommendations to internal leadership, customers, and external stakeholders.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and government standards relevant to infrastructure and systems architecture.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, optimization, and cost reduction across system environments.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and architectural best practices.
What you will bring:
- 12+ years of experience designing enterprise or defense system architectures.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, and system integration.
- Ability to translate requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.
- Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is a plus.
- Strong commitment to going the extra mile for customers, partners, and their missions.
- Self-motivated with the capability to work both independently and as an integral part of a dynamic team, assuming leadership responsibilities when needed.
- Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, for documentation, collaboration, and reporting.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a related discipline (experience may be considered in lieu of formal education).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Secret Clearance, with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI.
