JOB SUMMARY
The Master Data Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate, consistent, and reliable master data across the organization’s ERP system. This position is responsible for creating, validating, and maintaining core business records, including products, materials, customers, vendors, and financial data. By upholding data governance standards, the role supports operational efficiency, compliance, and informed decision-making across all business functions.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of ERP master data in alignment with business rules and governance policies.
  • Support data cleansing, migration, and validation during ERP implementations or upgrades.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, production, finance, sales, procurement) to gather requirements and resolve data issues.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ERP data errors or discrepancies.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining data standards, SOPs, and process documentation.
  • Contribute to ERP enhancement, automation, and data quality initiatives.
  • Provide accurate data and documentation to support audits and compliance.

Essential Functions:

  • Create, update, and maintain master data records (materials, vendors, customers, finance) in ERP.
  • Ensure integrity of product, account, growing protocol, and material consumption data.
  • Maintain data consistency across system implementations and integrations.
  • Analyze and report on master data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend process improvements to strengthen master data governance.

Requirements:


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience managing ERP or large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, SQL, Tableau, Smartsheet) a plus.
  • Experience creating or maintaining process documentation and supporting change management preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is a full-time, on site, year-round position.
  • The role is primarily office-based but may require occasional visits to the greenhouses and production facilities.
  • Flexibility is required during peak seasons, which may include extended hours.
