We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions and SQL Server databases. This role focuses on building efficient data pipelines, developing high-performance T-SQL solutions, ensuring data quality and integrity, and supporting data integration across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience with SQL Server, ETL/ELT, C#/.NET, and cloud-based data solutions, along with a passion for continuous learning and solving complex data challenges. Healthcare payer experience is preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data solutions, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration processes using C#, .NET, SQL Server, and Azure.
- Develop and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and validation.
- Develop C#/.NET APIs, services, and data-processing components for enterprise application and data integration.
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and indexes.
- Implement data cleansing, validation, transformation, and quality processes to ensure reliable and accurate data.
- Work with Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Web Apps, SSIS, and related Azure services.
- Troubleshoot and optimize database performance, data pipelines, APIs, and cloud workloads.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, BI, and business teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Evaluate existing data processes and recommend cloud modernization and performance improvements.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and automate repetitive tasks.
Education & Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or database development.
- Strong experience with C#, .NET, SQL Server, T-SQL, and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, SSIS, data integration, data modeling, and data quality.
- Experience with Azure Web Apps and cloud-based application/data solutions.
- Strong SQL query optimization, database performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
- Healthcare payer experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
