Job DescriptionJob Description: IT Technician

Pay Range: $23–$24/hour

Position SummaryThe IT Technician is an entry-level role supporting the Director of IT with hardware/software troubleshooting, Office 365 administration, system coordination, and reporting. This role is hands-on and internally facing — resolving day-to-day support issues (headsets, computers, tablets, access), maintaining reports and dashboards, and pitching in on projects for the broader Back Office team as needed. We're looking for someone early in their career — recent grad or self-taught — who's a good fit for the team; formal experience is less important than aptitude and willingness to learn. The Director of IT is willing to train on most of what's needed day-to-day.This role sits within the Back Office department alongside Payroll, AR, AP, and HR, which operates with a "conquer as one" approach — so some flexibility to help those teams with ad hoc projects outside core IT duties should be expected.Key ResponsibilitiesHardware & Software Support

  1. Troubleshoot hardware issues (headsets, computers, tablets) and software issues (ATS, phone provider, CRM, API connections between tools, AI tools).
  2. Administer and support Office 365, including Power Automate, SharePoint, and user account management.
  3. Provide baseline support for Adobe Acrobat and Adobe E-Sign.
  4. Support remote employees with remote-in access and connectivity troubleshooting.
  5. Field and triage internal support requests, escalating to the Director of IT as needed.
  6. Participate in after-hours support and scheduled server/service patching as needed (kept to a reasonable minimum).

Reporting & Systems Coordination

  1. Maintain, update, and organize internal reports, dashboards, and tracking tools.
  2. Pull, clean, review, and validate data from internal systems; catch accuracy issues, duplicates, and gaps.
  3. Support recurring and ad hoc reporting deadlines, and document processes and data definitions.
  4. Track and prioritize requests, coordinating with departments to resolve them.

Cross-Departmental & Special Projects

  1. Support ad hoc projects for Back Office teams (Payroll, AR, AP, HR) as they come up — this role should expect some variety outside core IT tasks.
  2. Test and document AI-supported workflows to improve efficiency across recruiting, operations, finance, payroll, and other teams.
  3. Support data entry, spreadsheet cleanup, file organization, and system/hardware rollouts.

Qualifications

  1. Entry-level — recent graduate or self-taught candidates welcome; right attitude and aptitude matter more than years of experience.
  2. Comfortable troubleshooting basic hardware/software issues and working with Excel, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
  3. Office 365 experience required, including SharePoint, Power Automate, and account management.
  4. Baseline understanding of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe E-Sign required.
  5. Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities with strong follow-up.
  6. Good written and verbal communication; able to work independently while taking direction.
  7. Comfortable learning new systems, tools, and processes — and comfortable with variety, since projects may come from outside core IT duties.
  8. No coding experience required or expected.

Preferred Skills

  1. Excel (formulas, filters, pivot tables, data cleanup) and familiarity with dashboards or BI tools.
  2. Basic, everyday familiarity with AI/LLM tools (ChatGPT, Claude) — most candidates at this level already use these regularly, so no advanced skill expected.
  3. Process-minded, technically curious, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  4. CompTIA A+ certification is a nice to have (not required).
