  • Minimum of 3 years of recent, professional experience in a Desktop Support, Technical Support, Service Desk, or Help Desk role supporting enterprise end users in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience providing both hands-on and remote technical support, including troubleshooting issues over the phone, through remote support tools, and at the user's workstation.
  • Strong background supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS operating systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, patching, and end-user support.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving a wide range of hardware and software issues involving desktops, laptops, docking stations, monitors, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, and business applications.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including LAN/WAN connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience supporting remote access technologies and virtualized environments, including Citrix, VPN clients, and remote desktop solutions.
  • Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop systems using imaging and provisioning tools for both Windows and macOS platforms.
  • Ability to perform workstation builds, hardware refreshes, operating system deployments, software installations, data migrations, and equipment replacements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory administration, including creating and managing user accounts, password resets, account unlocks, security group administration, and access management.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and other collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management and device administration tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, JAMF, or similar enterprise management platforms.
  • Experience utilizing ITSM/ticketing systems to manage incidents, service requests, asset tracking, escalations, and documentation while consistently meeting established SLA requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize and resolve multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting user onboarding and offboarding activities, including account provisioning, equipment deployment, software access configuration, and workstation setup.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices related to endpoint management, user access controls, password policies, and data protection.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with infrastructure, networking, security, and application support teams to resolve technical issues and improve overall user experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Certified, MD-102, Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting enterprise environments with 500+ users.
  • Exposure to cloud-based technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience participating in desktop refresh projects, operating system migrations, office relocations, and technology deployments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles and service management best practices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
