Title: Appian Developer (Full Stack)
Location: Hybrid/Charlotte, NC
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Application Developer with experience in Appian, BPM, or full-stack web development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the Appian platform, covering both front-end UI/UX and back-end systems including databases and process modeling. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and the capability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibility:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications on the Appian platform
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions
- Build and enhance software applications, tools, and business functions
- Develop front-end components using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks
- Work with relational databases such as SQL Server; write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations
- Maintain documentation for code, processes, and systems
- Support QA testing, identify defects, and implement fixes
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Ensure application security and data protection compliance
- Work with version control systems like Git
- Contribute to DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Appian components such as SAIL, Records, Integrations, and Web APIs
- Knowledge of Python and Flask framework
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Experience in Investment Banking domain
Experience: - 3+ years of experience in Appian development or full-stack web development
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
- Solid understanding of SQL programming and performance tuning
- Experience in designing RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with Git and version control practices
- Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
