Are you the person who keeps projects moving, spots problems before they become expensive, and isn't afraid to get involved on-site?

Ishita Interiors is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help bring luxury residential design projects to life across the Greater Asheville area.

This is a hands-on project role, not a desk-only coordinator position. You'll work alongside the Project Manager, design team, contractors, and trades to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and up to standard.

Compensation:

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, making adjustments as needed to keep everything on track.
  • Facilitate communication between design teams, contractors, and trades to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications.
  • Identify potential issues early and propose effective solutions to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Support the procurement process by liaising with suppliers and managing material deliveries to meet project timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and trades to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Ability to manage project schedules, deadlines, and dependencies effectively, keeping everything on track.
  • Proven track record of supporting construction bidding and reviewing contractor proposals with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong skills in tracking budgets, change orders, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
  • Experience conducting site visits and monitoring construction progress to ensure quality and adherence to plans.
  • Ability to review plans and specifications, identifying and flagging potential issues proactively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills in addressing delays, scheduling conflicts, and site challenges efficiently and effectively.
