To learn more, visit www.pharmaron.com.What You'll DoThe Scientist II will support process chemistry and manufacturing activities through analytical method development, validation, transfer, and sample testing in compliance with all applicable guidelines. Will also solve moderate complexity analytical development issues for assigned projects and/or initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate expertise in the core analytical laboratory skills, support development and/or scale up of chemical processes in assigned projects. Demonstrate and apply sound understanding of the application of all available analytical tools and techniques.Design and execute core experiments, interpret results, and plan additional experiments in a timely manner to solve assigned problems of moderate complexity. More complex problems will require additional guidance from a scientific supervisor/line manager.Review experimental data, notebooks, and instrument qualification protocols/reports.Support client projects as an individual contributor and as an analytical project leader: performing analyses, reporting results, trending and presenting data at project meetings, delegating work, being accountable for project deliverables and demonstrating leadership behaviors. In addition, may supervise one or more individual contributors and oversee their technical progress.System ownership of equipment and instrumentation, including supporting qualification activities. Participate in software validation.Support departmental or site audits, as required.Follow all policies governing the business activities, key internal business practices, and external regulations governing the role.Maintain good laboratory practices and GMP in compliance with safety and environmental requirements.Write, revise, develop, and evaluate SOPs.Perform other related assignments and duties, as required and assigned. What We're Looking ForD. in Chemistry or related field with no industry experienceMS with 3+ years of experience or BS with 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry. Evidence of experience in successful application of analytical skill sets to resolve scientific problems related to method design, development, and/or implementation.Experienced troubleshooter of technical problems3 years of experience (may include Ph.D. experience) with core analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV, Mass Spectrometry. Evidence of ability to effectively contribute to multi-disciplinary scientific teams Working knowledge of cGLP/cGMP and applicable FDA, EMA and ICH guidanceEvidence of ability to effectively scientifically supervise staffExpert application of core laboratory techniques and instrumentation to impact API, intermediates and starting materialsWhy Pharmaron?Pharmaron is a premier service provider for the life sciences industry.
