The Senior Systems Administrator performs advanced Tier III systems administration, engineering, and support functions with considerable independence and initiative. This role provides technical leadership, resolves complex infrastructure issues, develops procedures, supports enterprise systems, and coordinates with vendors when required. The position serves as the advanced journey-level classification within the Systems Administrator series and may provide guidance and oversight to junior staff.

Responsibilities

- 50%: Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365/Exchange Hybrid administration, monitoring, backup/recovery, security, and team mentoring.
- 25%: Tier III incident resolution, software installation and support, ITSM documentation, desk-side support, and vendor escalation.
- 15%: SOP development, knowledge management, security compliance, reporting, process improvement, and project execution.
- 10%: Customer communication, SLA management, ticket tracking, training, and documentation.

Qualification
\n

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of professional experience in systems administration or a related IT discipline.

Technical Skills
\n
Advanced knowledge of enterprise systems administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Exchange, VMware, NetApp, Windows Server, backup and recovery, and enterprise troubleshooting.

Functions as a lead worker providing training, work coordination, and technical guidance to other team members.
