Seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical refinery equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement reliability strategies for rotating and reciprocating equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
- Perform vibration monitoring, oil analysis, thermography, and condition monitoring.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and develop corrective action plans.
- Manage bad-actor programs, equipment KPIs, repairs, upgrades, and replacements.
- Develop job plans, cost estimates, schedules, and coordinate shutdown repairs.
- Maintain equipment records, CMMS data, maintenance reports, and reliability metrics.
- Ensure proper spare-parts inventory and equipment availability.
- Provide technical support and training to Operations and Maintenance teams.
- Review equipment designs for refinery, industry, and regulatory compliance.
- Support PSM, Mechanical Integrity, PM/PdM, and reliability programs.
- Follow all refinery safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of rotating equipment maintenance/reliability experience.
- 10+ years in a refinery or petrochemical plant preferred.
- Strong experience with centrifugal/reciprocating pumps and compressors.
- Expertise in vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
- Experience with RCA, PSM, Mechanical Integrity, PM/PdM programs.
- Knowledge of API, ASTM, NACE, and applicable refinery standards.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
- API/vibration certifications are a plus.
