Join an automotive manufacturing team in a direct-hire, salaried position where your daytime hours are spent making quality visible and actionable. You will be the key link between the production floor, engineering, suppliers, and customers—turning data into decisions and issues into improvements.
A Day in the Role
You start by scanning overnight SPC trends, walking the line to verify control plans and inspection checkpoints, and checking that documented quality procedures are being followed. When a concern surfaces, you lead a structured investigation, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive corrective actions through completion. You prepare for upcoming audits, validate product releases, review deviations and rework instructions, and—when necessary—exercise the authority to stop production to protect safety and quality.
What You’ll Do
- Investigate quality issues and lead corrective actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and sustain control plans, inspections, and documented quality procedures on the production floor.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Support customer, supplier, and internal audits with evidence, records, and follow-up actions.
- Approve quality documentation, product releases, deviations, and rework instructions.
- Stop production when quality or safety concerns arise.
What You Bring
- ISO9001 manufacturing Quality Engineering experience.
- Knowledge of 8D, FMEA, SPC, APQP, and PPAP.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skill.
