Job Summary

\n

We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer specialising in Performance and Load Testing to build tooling and infrastructure that generate realistic, production-like workloads for large-scale testing. This software-engineering-focused role involves developing traffic-replay systems, processing API and event logs, and transforming large datasets into reusable test scenarios. The engineer will enable teams to reproduce performance issues, investigate bottlenecks, and validate remediation.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Design and build traffic-replay and workload-generation tooling for performance and load testing.
  • \n

  • Develop systems that replay realistic HTTP/API requests, event traffic, WebSocket interactions, and asynchronous workloads.
  • \n

  • Parse API, application, event, and telemetry logs to identify representative production traffic patterns.
  • \n

  • Transform large log exports into structured, parameterised, replayable test scenarios.
  • \n

  • Build tooling to clean, normalise, anonymise, correlate, and enrich production traffic data before replay.
  • \n

  • Use approved LLM-assisted workflows to analyse appropriately protected exports, identify traffic patterns, and accelerate test-scenario generation and workload modelling.
  • \n

  • Automate conversion of raw traffic data into reusable load-test configurations and scripts.
  • \n

  • Control traffic volume, concurrency, request sequencing, timing, dependencies, and event relationships during replay.
  • \n

  • Build scalable data-processing pipelines for large production datasets.
  • \n

  • Integrate replay tooling with performance-testing platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
  • \n

  • Analyse replay results, investigate root causes, and partner with application engineers on remediation.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with developers, QA, SRE, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to reproduce performance issues.
  • \n

  • Develop debugging and diagnostic capabilities and automate performance-regression testing across releases.
  • \n

  • Document tooling, workflows, test scenarios, and performance findings.
  • \n

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • \n

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • \n

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Go, C++, or a similar language.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, WebSockets, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
  • \n

  • Experience building automation, developer tooling, or data-processing systems.
  • \n

  • Experience working with large datasets, logs, or high-volume production telemetry.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of latency, throughput, concurrency, resource utilisation, and scalability.
  • \n

  • Experience with databases and SQL.
  • \n
