This is a temporary, onsite independent contractor (1099) engagement supporting a technology migration across sites in western Connecticut and New York's Hudson Valley.
Work runs from mid-October 2026 through January 2027 in six-day windows that include weekends, with breaks of several weeks in between. Some days begin as early as 7:30 AM. You'll be paid for each day worked. Specific dates and site locations will be reviewed during the initial interview. This is not a full-time or remote position.
Rate:
- $30–$35 per hour depending on experience
- This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement. No benefits are provided, and contractors are responsible for their own taxes
This is hands-on, user-facing work: you'll meet employees at their desks, walk them through the transition to a new device and account environment, and confirm everything works before moving to the next user. A detailed runbook, a tracker, a briefing call, and an onsite lead are provided — you bring the technical skill and the professionalism to work calmly in a clinical setting.
Before you apply, please confirm you can meet all of these:
- Available for multiple week-long work windows between mid-October 2026 and January 2027
- Able to work six-day windows that include Saturdays and Sundays, with some early-morning starts (around 7:30 AM)
- Have reliable transportation and live within commuting distance of at least one of these areas:
Fairfield County, CT: Danbury, Norwalk
Northwest CT: New Milford, Sharon
Hudson Valley, NY: Carmel, Poughkeepsie, Rhinebeck
- Willing to complete a background check, sign a security agreement, and provide a headshot for a site security badge
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
What You'll Do
- Meet each user at their workstation on their scheduled migration date
- Confirm the first successful sign-in on the newly migrated device
- Complete Intune enrollment on the new tenant, confirmed through to completion
- Confirm first sign-in to the new mail environment and verify mail and calendar are present
- Complete mobile device enrollment for users in scope
- Support VIP and executive users in person on the day — no deferring these to remote support
- Log the outcome for every user in the provided tracker and escalate exceptions to the onsite lead
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with Windows 11, Microsoft 365 sign-in flows, and Intune enrollment
- Comfort working desk-side with clinical and executive staff in a hospital setting
- Presentable, reliable, and able to follow site access and privacy rules (a background check and security agreement apply)
- Tier 1 capability is sufficient — judgment calls escalate to the onsite lead
