Company Description The Station on 6th, formerly the Verde Valley Senior Center, is a community-focused organization serving older adults and other community members in Cottonwood, AZ and the surrounding region. The organization provides supportive services, social engagement, and resources that promote independence, well-being, and quality of life. It serves as a hub for meals, activities, and connections that help reduce isolation and strengthen community ties. Team members work collaboratively with local partners, volunteers, and residents to expand programs and improve access to essential services.

Role Description The Strategic Development Coordinator is a part-time, hybrid role based in Cottonwood, AZ, with some flexibility to work from home. This role focuses on planning and supporting initiatives that strengthen program funding, community partnerships, and organizational visibility. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with fundraising campaigns, coordinating outreach and engagement activities, maintaining donor and partner records, and preparing reports and communications for internal and external stakeholders. The coordinator may help organize events, support project timelines, draft grant or sponsorship materials, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure development efforts align with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.

  • Candidates must have experience in diverse fundraising planning and execution of various campaigns.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess Customer Service and community relations skills to interact professionally and respectfully with older adults, families, donors, and partners.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess Project Management skills to help plan, organize, and track development initiatives, events, and outreach activities.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess Fundraising skills, including familiarity with donor cultivation, campaigns, and basic grant or sponsorship support.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess Writing skills for creating outreach materials, donor communications, reports, and basic grant content.
  • \n

  • Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in nonprofit or community-based organizations, comfort with basic office and database software, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
