Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor VT Level II personnel, including training, certification, performance audits, and technical support.
  • Execute and oversee VT procedures to ensure accurate, compliant, and properly documented inspections.
  • Interpret weld indications, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes to support engineering and production decisions.
  • Maintain quality records, approve inspection documentation, and ensure equipment and processes meet established requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality teams to resolve complex quality issues and improve inspection efficiency.
  • Lead root-cause and corrective-action activities to address quality issues and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Monitor quality trends and production risks and communicate significant issues to management.
  • Support production operations while maintaining inspection integrity, quality, and throughput.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required; Senior-level CWI preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of VT/NDT and Quality Assurance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of VT methods, applicable codes, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Experience developing and verifying inspection procedures and work instructions.
  • Strong technical writing, documentation, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience working directly with production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 40 lbs., climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to support operations in York, PA, including shifts of up to 12 hours.F
