Senior Environmental Project Manager

Position Overview
The Senior Environmental Project Manager will lead and manage a variety of PFAS environmental projects, focusing on the assessment, investigation, and remediation of contaminated sites. This role requires a strong understanding of environmental regulations and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental investigation and remediation projects from inception to completion with private sector clients
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and adherence to project objectives.
  • Develop and review project proposals, plans, and reports to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Conduct site assessments and investigations related to PFAs and other contaminants.
  • Coordinate sample collection and analysis, utilizing techniques such as LC-MS and GIS mapping.
  • Prepare and present reports to clients and regulatory agencies, addressing findings and recommendations.
  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resources to achieve project goals effectively.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop mitigation strategies for environmental protection.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental project management, particularly in contamination assessment and remediation.
  • Active or recent experience managing and growing established book of business in the private sector is required
  • Proven business development experience within the environmental consulting space
  • Strong knowledge of PFAS, PFOS, PFOA, and related environmental regulations.
  • Experience with regulatory frameworks such as CERCLA and RCRA.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction and report preparation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as needed
