Are you an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer looking for an opportunity where you can take on more responsibility and genuinely progress towards becoming a Project Manager?
\n
We’re working with an established General Contractor in Jupiter, Florida that is looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to its growing team.
\n
\n
You’ll be working on commercial construction projects across South Florida, supporting experienced Project Managers while getting exposure to the full lifecycle of a project.
\n
\n
Healthcare construction experience would be a big plus, but it is not essential. We’re much more interested in finding someone with a solid commercial construction foundation, the right attitude and the ambition to progress.
\n
\n
What you'll be doing
\n
This is a hands-on APM position where you'll be involved in the day-to-day delivery of projects rather than simply processing paperwork.
\n
Your responsibilities will include:
\n
- \n
- Supporting Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle
- Managing RFIs, submittals and project documentation
- Assisting with change orders and cost tracking
- Coordinating subcontractors and vendors
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes of work
- Assisting with procurement and material tracking
- Supporting project scheduling and progress tracking
- Attending project meetings with owners, architects and subcontractors
- Working closely with Superintendents and field teams
- Helping identify and resolve issues affecting schedule, cost or quality
- Supporting punch lists, closeout documentation and project handover

What we're looking for
\n
Ideally, you'll have previous experience working for a General Contractor within commercial construction.
\n
\n
You could currently be working as an:
\n
Assistant Project Manager | Project Engineer | Project Coordinator
\n
Healthcare construction experience is highly desirable, but candidates from other commercial sectors are encouraged to apply.
\n
\n
We're particularly interested in people who are:

- \n
- Organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Confident communicating with subcontractors and project teams
- Familiar with RFIs, submittals, change orders and construction documentation
- Comfortable reading construction drawings and specifications
- Interested in understanding the commercial side of project delivery
- Ambitious and looking to progress into a Project Manager position
