Performance & Data Optimization Engineer

ScolerTec is seeking multiple Performance & Data Optimization Engineers to support a large-scale cloud data modernization program. This role focuses on optimizing cloud data-platform performance, database and SQL efficiency, workload scalability, reliability, observability, and cost.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Tune SQL, databases, ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and cloud data workloads.

\n

• Optimize query execution, indexing, partitioning, caching, and clustering.

\n

• Diagnose CPU, memory, disk, network, I/O, concurrency, and pipeline bottlenecks.

\n

• Establish performance baselines, SLAs, dashboards, monitoring, and alerts.

\n

• Perform workload analysis, capacity planning, scaling, and cost optimization.

\n

• Support AWS infrastructure and modern data platforms.

\n

• Implement Terraform/IaC and CI/CD automation.

\n

• Support DevSecOps, secrets management, security scanning, HA/DR, and automated failover.

\n

• Perform log/metric analysis and full-stack troubleshooting.

\n

• Partner with DBAs, platform engineers, architects, and data engineers.

\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 5+ years systems/cloud/performance engineering.

\n

• Strong AWS experience.

\n

• Strong SQL and database performance tuning.

\n

• Query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and execution-plan analysis.

\n

• Terraform/CloudFormation or comparable IaC.

\n

• CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or similar.

\n

• Python/Bash/PowerShell.

\n

• CI/CD, DevSecOps, containers.

\n

• Experience with Databricks, Redshift, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, or similar preferred.
