Senior Network Engineer
Duration: 6‑month Contract‑to‑Hire
Location: Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY (Chelsea) — Onsite
Compensation: $100–$105/hour (W2)
Conversion Salary: Up to $275,000 annually

One of our clients is a well‑established private family office that manages a diverse portfolio of operating businesses, investments, and philanthropic initiatives. The organization supports multiple affiliated entities across a range of industries and operates in a high‑trust, high‑performance environment.
You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade network and security systems, with a strong focus on Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama. Your expertise will directly impact network reliability, performance, and security through thoughtful design, disciplined change management, and operational excellence.
This is a senior-level role requiring deep experience in networking and network security, particularly within Palo Alto Networks and Cisco/Meraki wired and wireless environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, including switches, firewalls, access points, and supporting systems.
- Palo Alto Networks Ownership: Lead configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Palo Alto NGFWs and Panorama, including security policy, NAT, and threat prevention.
- Wired & Wireless Operations: Manage Cisco switching and Meraki wireless environments, including deployment, tuning, and capacity planning.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Act as a senior escalation point for network incidents; perform deep root cause analysis (RCA) to maintain uptime and performance.
- Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain accurate network documentation and partner closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver projects and resolve issues.
Required Qualifications
- Senior Network Engineer with 8+ years of experience
- Strong, hands‑on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls
- Proven expertise with Panorama (templates, device groups, HA, best practices)
- Deep experience with Cisco IOS and Meraki switching and wireless
- Strong troubleshooting skills across networking and security domains
- Professional, polished demeanor with strong customer‑service instincts
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast‑moving environment
