You will be given exposure to the innerworkings of one largest financial institutions in the world. Working with best-in-class teams and contributing to projects that drive innovation across the organization. As part of the internship program, you will participate in structured professional development opportunities, create connections with peers and meet leaders across Santander.

As an IT Project Management Intern, you will come out of this experience with an understanding of how large-scale technology initiatives are planned, coordinated, and delivered within a financial services organization. You will gain direct knowledge of agile delivery frameworks, IT governance practices, and cross-functional collaboration in application development environments, and could include exposure to tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and project financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities of the IT Project Management internship role may include but are not limited to:

Agile Ceremony Support

Prepare agendas and track action items for PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums (SoS), ART Syncs, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.

Capture meeting notes and follow-ups across ceremonies, ensuring timely updates are shared with impacted teams.

Support backlog readiness and dependency tracking in advance of PI Planning sessions.

Metrics & Reporting

Assist in compiling key ART health metrics, such as feature burndown, team velocity, and predictability.

Support RTE in creating and maintaining dashboards (JIRA, Confluence, Excel, or Power BI).

Help track objectives vs. actuals post-PI to support performance insights and retrospectives.

Program Increment (PI) Planning Logistics

Coordinate logistics for PI Planning, including invites, agendas, digital boards, and documentation templates.

Support breakouts and team boards by acting as a point of contact for questions or blockers.

Consolidate and publish PI plans, including team objectives, risks, and committed scope.

What we are looking for

An undergraduate student with an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May/June 2027.
Area of Study: Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Administration or Business Analytics, Project Management, Computer Information Systems / Information Technology, Software Engineering or Computer Science (with an interest in Agile delivery)
Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or above.
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage.
Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required.
Analytical thinkers with a strong attention to detail.
Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently on special projects.
Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.

It would be nice to have

Coursework in or exposure to accounting, finance, economics, or business. (Preferred)
Experience in Microsoft Office products. (Preferred)
