Join our "swarm" today!Location: Wilmington NC 28401Pay: $18- $24 an hour- Full-timeRequirementsMust possess an active Class B Commercial Drivers License and clean driving recordAbility to pass a background check Valid driver's license and clean driving recordExperience in the following disciplines is desirable: fisheries, wildlife management, conservation, ecology, biology, environmental sciences, or forestry, pond/lake maintenance, landscaping, erosion control, or stormwater maintenanceAbility to lift up to 80 pounds and work in various weather conditionsComfortable working around water, slopes, and environmental risks (bees, poison ivy, etc.)Great communication skills and ability to interact with multiple audiences, including but not limited to the Operations Team, subcontractors, vendors, and others.Team-oriented and aligned with Dragonfly's values: Quality Focus, Takes Ownership, and Growth Oriented.Key Responsibilities:Report to the field supervisor Complete repairs and maintenance on ponds, lakes, and other stormwater control measures, including: Turf establishment planting, hand or machine excavation, grading, erosion repairs, tree removal, and site stabilizationOperate and maintain equipment safely (slope mowers, Ventrac, front-end loaders, mini-excavators, skid steers, other)Perform manual labor tasks such as moving materials by wheelbarrow, including rip rap, mulch, and dirtMaintain and repair ponds, lakes, and stormwater control measures (planting, spreading seed, mixing bags of concrete by hand, and using a shovel to move gravel)May be asked to work in confined spaces, may have to enter and crawl in pipes and precast structuresCollection of company-owned equipment and tools at the end of the dayBenefits & Perks:Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) matchingLife InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountsPaid Time Off Holiday PayEmployee Assistance ProgramReferral BonusProtective Footwear BonusDragonfly Pond Works is a leading environmental service company specializing in stormwater management.
