Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Work From Home
Duration: 6–12 Months

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Packaging Engineer to build, test, and deploy Windows and macOS application packages across an enterprise endpoint environment.

This role will support enterprise software delivery as well as time-sensitive vulnerability remediation, including high, critical, and zero-day security threats. The engineer will work closely with application owners, security, deployment, and support teams to ensure applications are packaged securely, reliably, and delivered within established SLAs and governance standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with application packaging, SCCM/MECM, Workspace ONE, Microsoft Intune, MSI/MSIX/App-V, and PowerShell scripting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop moderately complex application packaging solutions.
  • Build, test, troubleshoot, and deploy application packages across enterprise environments.
  • Rapidly package vendor patches and emergency security fixes for production deployment.
  • Support remediation of High, Critical, and zero-day vulnerabilities across endpoint environments.
  • Support forced and time-sensitive software deployments when required.
  • Partner with application owners, security, deployment, and support teams.
  • Ensure application packages meet security, reliability, performance, and deployment requirements.
  • Develop and maintain packaging policies, standards, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor application deployment performance and capacity metrics.
  • Analyze deployment and performance data to optimize packaging and delivery solutions.
  • Ensure application packaging and deployment activities meet established SLAs.
  • Support software lifecycle and change management processes.
  • Contribute to automation and continuous improvement of packaging and deployment processes.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and responsibly apply new tools and approaches to improve operational efficiency.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in desktop engineering or application packaging.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more enterprise endpoint management platforms:
    • SCCM / MECM
    • Omnissa Workspace ONE
    • Microsoft Intune
  • Strong application packaging experience with:
    • MSI
    • MSIX
    • App-V
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Experience managing application deployments across large enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
  • Understanding of change management processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot packaging and deployment issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, particularly during urgent security remediation activities.
  • Curiosity and adaptability toward new technologies, including the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI).

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in financial services or other regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID and endpoint security tools.
  • Experience with VDI environments, including:
    • Citrix
    • VMware Horizon
  • Experience with DevOps practices and automation pipelines.
  • Knowledge of operating system imaging and provisioning technologies, including:
    • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
    • Windows Autopilot
  • Experience automating packaging and deployment workflows.
  • Understanding of enterprise endpoint security and compliance requirements.
