This is a great opportunity to assist in all aspects of ministry from creating programming, content, and experiences for the younger generation to developing teams, tools and resources that create an excellent and strategic ministry. Junior high events are opportunities to build community, provide an evangelistic opportunity, and inject excitement among the Junior High Ministry.
Who you are:
You will have spent significant time as a volunteer or staff member in a context of similar size and scope. You think outside of the box with your pulse on what’s working in YTH ministry today, not afraid to approach the ministry in a way that will resonate with the world we live in. You make decisions in a timely manner based on vision and values with clear courses of action and measurable goals to move the ministry forward. You are able to work within a team to coordinate staff/volunteer schedules, dream up awesome events and plan, coordinate and carry out those events building and strengthening the Junior High Ministry.
What you will do…
- Assist in the overall function of the Junior High Ministry, including but not limited to:
- Assisting with ministry events – planning, set-up, executing
- Kingdom Worker oversight
- Sunday and Wednesday night programming
- New student retention
- Enlist, equip, and empower a team of volunteers to own and lead the Junior High Ministry and invest in the lives of Junior High students.
- Report to the Junior High Pastor for weekly tasks, feedback, and development.
Event Management
- Develop and execute an annual calendar of events for the Junior High Ministry that works in symmetry with the overall Student Ministry, including promotion, event oversight, staffing, financial reporting, etc.
- Complete oversight of event including plan, communication, execution and evaluation.
- Effective management of the event budget
Leadership
- Build consensus, symmetry, and integration, on and through a team. Building of a leadership team of volunteers to assist with the implementation of all-church events.
- Enlist, equip, and empower a team of volunteers to support events.
Experiences you have had:
- College Degree or Current Enrollment Required
- Highly computer literate: MS Office (Ppt, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)
- 2+ years’ experience (volunteer or staff) in a large church setting
- Experience coordinating staff/volunteer schedules.
- Must align with the vision, values, and doctrinal statement of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship.
- Must be a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship who supports the vision and values.
Skills you have:
- Exceptional at Numbers, Budgeting, Collecting Money, Tracking Money, and Excel
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, but still able to be flexible enough to adjust with ministry changes.
- Gifted in leadership, administration, and financial management.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with multiple project leaders.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
