We are currently hiring for an immediate opening for a Feature Systems Engineer with strong automotive systems engineering experience.

Role Overview\n

We are seeking a Feature Systems Engineer to support the development and integration of new automotive features. This role will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to define customer feature objectives, analyze requirements, support platform and program-specific feature development, and establish best practices across global programs.

Key Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Create, update, maintain, and track Customer Feature Objectives (CFOs).
  • \n

  • Analyze CFOs to ensure alignment with project objectives, requirements, and engineering standards.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and implement best practices for new feature development.
  • \n

  • Support platform-level and program-specific new feature development.
  • \n

  • Coordinate feature activities across Software, Hardware, Systems, and other engineering teams.
  • \n

  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and support Voice of Customer (VOC) clinics.
  • \n

  • Translate customer and business needs into technical feature objectives and requirements.
  • \n

  • Support requirements decomposition and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
  • \n

  • Review regulatory requirements and applicable industry best practices.
  • \n

  • Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • \n

Basic Qualifications\n

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Systems Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university.
  • \n

  • 3–5 years of automotive industry experience.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of Automotive Systems Engineering.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 and automotive functional safety concepts.
  • \n

  • Understanding of requirements engineering and INCOSE requirements decomposition.
  • \n

  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • \n

  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
  • \n

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • \n

Preferred Qualifications\n

    \n
  • Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering.
  • \n

  • Experience with IBM DOORS or similar ALM/PLM requirements management tools.
  • \n

  • Hands-on Systems Engineering experience.
  • \n

  • Experience creating or interpreting system network topology diagrams.
  • \n

  • Ability to analyze problems from multiple perspectives, including Software, Hardware, and Field issues.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of one or more automotive functional domains, such as:

  • Electrical

  • Chassis
  • \n

  • Body

  • Interior

Ideal Candidate Profile\n

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of automotive systems engineering experience, strong exposure to vehicle features and functional domains, and the ability to work across hardware, software, and systems teams. Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, ISO 26262, requirements decomposition, and automotive feature development will be highly valuable.
