Job Description
We are a growing Architecture firm based in Brooklyn, New York that offers its employees hands-on experience, participating in projects from beginning to end, wide exposure to different project types, and a friendly work environment! The position:
We’re looking for a Project Architect/ Designer with ideally 3-5 years of NYC architecture experience to work in person in our Brooklyn, NY office.
The pay range we’re offering is $80,000/yr to 95,000/yr, based on experience and having the right attitude overall.
We offer to cover your transportation costs, a SIMPLE IRA matching plan, and additional paid holidays throughout the year.
We can also sign for your AXP hours and will be happy to mentor you along the process if you plan to become a licensed Architect.
Requirements:
- You are highly proficient in using REVIT
- You have a minimum of 3 years of out of school experience working in architecture, design, and construction documents.
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience working and studying the NYC Zoning and Building code.
- You are within a reasonable commute time from our Brooklyn office, this is an in person position (Not remote)

Responsibilities:
Direct contact with clients.
Prepare full sets of plans for design, DOB filing, and construction.
Occasionally, site visits to measure up or verify existing conditions
Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and expediters
Answer DOB objections and revise the plans
Rise Architecture is based in Industry City, Brooklyn. This is a great place for architects to work, as you will appreciate how these old industrial buildings were repurposed to serve as offices or social areas.
There are great restaurants, stores, weekly social events, and beautifully designed courtyards where you can take a break once in a while. The trains are nearby and 20min away from Manhattan.
