Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Solution Architect to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, Cloud Technologies, Distributed Systems, and Enterprise Architecture.
\n
This is a hands-on architecture role requiring the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and collaborate closely with engineering, product, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
\n

- Design end-to-end technical solutions and application architectures using Java technologies.
- Define High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), architecture patterns, and technical standards.
- Architect scalable and resilient Java/Spring Boot microservices and distributed applications.
- Lead solution design across application, integration, database, cloud, and infrastructure layers.
- Design RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integration solutions.
- Architect solutions using Kafka and messaging/event-streaming technologies.
- Evaluate existing applications and recommend modernization, migration, and technology strategies.
- Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, performance, security, availability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, product managers, business stakeholders, and other architects.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct architecture/design and code reviews, and mentor development teams.
- Support cloud adoption and application modernization initiatives.
- Troubleshoot complex architectural and production issues and recommend effective technical solutions.
- Establish and enforce best practices around architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and engineering quality.

Required Qualifications & Skills
\n

- 10+ years of experience in Java/software engineering with significant experience in solution architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 11/17+.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring Cloud.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing Microservices Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, API design, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong SQL and database knowledge; Oracle experience preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, scalability, performance optimization, and system reliability.
- Experience with architecture documentation, technical design reviews, and enterprise application modernization.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and technical leadership skills.
- Must be comfortable working onsite in Jersey City, NJ and attending the final interview in person (F2F).
