BC Construction Group is looking for a motivated Project Engineer to support commercial, industrial, warehouse, distribution, and mission critical construction projects.
\n
This role is based out of our Brighton, Michigan office with regular travel to active project sites. The standard expectation is jobsite travel every other week, typically 1–3 days, although travel may increase or decrease based on project needs.
\n
The right Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, design team, clients, and BCCG leadership to keep project information organized, current, and moving.
\n

What You'll Do
\n
Working alongside the Project Manager and field team, you'll help keep projects organized, documented, and moving forward by supporting:
\n
• RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and document control
\n
• Drawing and specification management
\n
• Procurement and material tracking
\n
• Coordination with designers, subcontractors, and field teams
\n
• Meeting preparation, minutes, action items, and follow-up
\n
• Project schedule and milestone tracking
\n
• Change order documentation and cost-impact support
\n
• Field coordination and jobsite follow-up
\n
• Owner, architect, engineer, and subcontractor communication
\n
• Quality and project documentation
\n
• Punch lists, warranties, closeout, and turnover documentation
\n
• Regular travel to active project sites based on project needs
\n
The Project Engineer plays an important role in making sure information gets to the right people, commitments are followed through, and potential issues are identified early.

What We're Looking For
\n
The ideal candidate will have:
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
\n
• Commercial or industrial construction experience preferred
\n
• Warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, mission critical, or large commercial project experience is a plus
\n
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
\n
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments
\n
• Comfortable working in both an office and active construction environment
\n
• Microsoft Office experience; ProjectSight, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software experience is a plus
\n
• A team-first mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
\n

Work Arrangement
\n
This position is based out of the BCCG Brighton, Michigan office.
\n
The normal work cadence will be office-based with travel to active project sites every other week, typically for 1–3 days, depending on project needs, meetings, field priorities, and team coordination.
\n
Additional travel may be required when project conditions call for it.
\n

Compensation & Benefits
