NationsBenefits is looking for a Technical Lead (Platform) to join our FinTech Engineering team in Plantation, FL.
\n
This role is ideal for an experienced Java engineering leader with strong hands-on expertise in Spring Boot, microservices, cloud platforms, DevOps, scalable application architecture, and secure FinTech systems.

What You’ll Do
\n
- \n
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing engineers.
- Recruit, onboard, and train engineering talent while promoting development best practices.
- Conduct performance reviews, one-on-ones, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Define and execute technical strategy and architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance FinTech applications.
- Guide engineers through software design, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
- Build fault-tolerant, scalable, and low-latency systems capable of handling high transaction volumes.
- Architect and maintain microservices-based solutions across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Work with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Program Managers, Business Leaders, and cross-functional teams.
- Promote Agile, DevOps, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure applications comply with financial regulations, data security, privacy standards, GDPR, and PCI DSS.
- Design and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases for large-scale financial transaction processing.
- Work with real-time data processing technologies such as Kafka and Hadoop.

Required Qualifications
\n

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of Java development experience.
- 5+ years of experience mentoring or coaching individual contributors.
- Strong experience with:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- Hibernate
- Microservices
- RESTful APIs
- SQL / NoSQL databases
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven ability to design and deploy secure applications within regulated environments.

Preferred Experience
\n

- Payment Tokenization and MDES
- Hands-on experience with Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) APIs, integration patterns, and digital wallet token lifecycle.
- Secure credential provisioning and token management.
- Key and certificate lifecycle management.
- Experience with EMVCo and PCI DSS standards.
- Experience integrating Azure services with payment ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Azure Functions
- Azure Key Vault
- Azure App Service
- Strong cloud security knowledge for handling sensitive payment data.
- Experience with Jenkins, Kubernetes, and cloud-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Knowledge of Kafka, Hadoop, and distributed data processing tools.
