FULL DESCRIPTION: The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing vessel and facility certifications and ensuring that production and processing operations comply with regulatory requirements and customer specifications. This role partners with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Adhere to company policies and core values.
- Promote a safety-first culture by supporting and complying with established safety programs.
- Coordinate and manage audits and inspections by regulatory agencies at the federal, state, and local levels for both facilities and vessels.
- Ensure compliance with export certification programs and applicable international requirements.
- Oversee all quality and food safety programs, including HACCP, thermal processing, regulatory guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and other applicable standards.
- Lead implementation and maintenance of required facility certifications for international markets.
- Review, update, and ensure compliance of HACCP and Food Defense Plans with regulatory requirements.
- Coach and develop employees on production processes to ensure adherence to quality control standards.
- Develop and implement action plans to monitor product specifications and drive corrective actions.
- Oversee daily sanitation inspections in partnership with operations and ensure corrective actions are taken as needed.
- Manage investigations related to workplace injuries or illnesses within the facility.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and report hazards, incidents, or concerns to leadership.
Salary Range: $90 to $100k/year
