About the Role

Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant is looking for a part-time To-Go / Takeout Specialist. You are the person who answers the phone, works the delivery tablets, packs every order right, and hands it off to the guest or driver. Orders go out complete, hot, and on time because you checked them.

This is a guaranteed $16.00 per hour position — not a tipped role, so your pay does not swing with the shift. If you are organized, quick on your feet, and take pride in getting details right when three tickets land at once, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do

Phone orders

• Answer the phone promptly and take call-in orders accurately
• Enter orders into the POS, confirm modifications and allergen requests, and repeat orders back to the guest
• Quote realistic pickup times based on current kitchen volume
• Answer questions about the menu, pricing, and specials

Packing and order accuracy

• Assemble every to-go, phone-in, and delivery order against the ticket, item by item
• Include the right sauces, sides, utensils, napkins, and condiments
• Package food so it travels well — hot items hot, cold items cold, nothing crushed or leaking
• Seal and label bags correctly, including the order name and platform

Counter and pickup

• Greet pickup guests and delivery drivers at the counter and get them on their way quickly
• Take payment and close out to-go tickets accurately
• Resolve order questions and issues politely, escalating to a manager when needed
• Keep the pickup area clean, organized, and presentable

Stocking and support

• Restock to-go containers, bags, lids, sauces, utensils, and condiment supplies
• Alert management when to-go supplies are running low, before they run out
• Provide light server and bartender support during slower periods
• Follow all food safety, allergen, and sanitation procedures

Schedule and Availability

• Open availability required across both lunch and dinner service
• Weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Approximately [15–25] hours per week, with additional hours available during busy seasons
• Schedules are posted in advance; shift swaps are coordinated through the manager

What We're Looking For

• Reliable and on time — the single most important thing on our team
• Detail-oriented; you double-check an order before it goes out the door
• Able to juggle the phone, the tablets, and the counter without losing track
• Calm and organized during a rush
• Comfortable with POS systems, tablets, and handling payments
• Clear, friendly phone manner
• Prior restaurant, takeout, food service, or fast-paced customer service experience is a plus — but we will train the right person
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, not required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to complete Form I-9 on your first day

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for the length of a shift
• Carry to-go orders and supply cases and lift up to 25 pounds
• Bend, reach, and move quickly in a busy kitchen and counter environment
