Role - Snowflake Data Consultant

Location: Boston (Preferred) or Tampa (Hybrid)

Mode: Contract

\n

    \n
  • Overall 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, Data Warehousing, and Cloud Data Platforms, with strong expertise in Snowflake (4+ years).
  • \n

  • Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and domain experts to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality solution designs aligned with industry best practices and architectural standards.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with Application Architects and cross-functional technical teams throughout the development lifecycle and resolve issues identified during System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • \n

  • Design, develop, and maintain resilient and scalable ELT data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and consumption using Snowflake, Python, Snowpark, and orchestration frameworks.
  • \n

  • Develop and optimize complex SQL solutions, stored procedures, UDFs, Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and Snowpipe-based ingestion frameworks.
  • \n

  • Design logical and physical data models, database objects, schemas, views, and security frameworks, with a strong understanding of dimensional modeling and Data Vault methodologies.
  • \n

  • Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) and incremental data processing solutions leveraging Snowflake Streams and Tasks.
  • \n

  • Optimize Snowflake workloads through effective warehouse sizing, clustering strategies, partitioning approaches, and query performance tuning.
  • \n

  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in SQL development, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • \n

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake capabilities including SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, Data Sharing, Stored Procedures, Secure Views, and External Tables.
  • \n

  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, code reviews, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • \n

  • Follow test-first and test-driven development practices, performing comprehensive unit testing and peer reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and performant code.
  • \n

  • Collaborate effectively with distributed teams, developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise-scale data solutions.
  • \n

  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • \n
