JOB DESCRIPTION: Pump Technician Assistant

BASIC FUNCTION: The Pump Technician Assistant duties are to primarily assist Pump Technicians and Project Managers at job sites and in the shop. Assisting responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Pump pulls and pump installations

Shop testing and repair of submersible and centrifugal pumps

Plumbing

Light welding and fabrication

Trenching

Shop maintenance

Cleaning and restocking company service trucks

Working with various aspects of Inventory

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Valid driver’s license w/ clean driving record & 5 years licensed driving experience.

· Certification and experience with/in forklift operation a plus. Must be able to obtain OSHA required Forklift Certification within 30 days of hire date.

· Experience in the construction industry a plus.

· Must be able to work periodic overtime if needed.

· Working knowledge of tools, supplies, and equipment used in the construction trade a plus.

· Basic computer skills are required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word & Excel a plus.

· Must have working knowledge of a smartphone

· The team member is frequently required to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls. The team member must occasionally climb, balance, kneel, or crouch.

  • The team member normally works in outside weather conditions. The team member frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, fumes or airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration & moderate to high noise levels. Team member will be in all year-round weather conditions while traveling to and from job sites. Occasionally, the team member will work inside our shop.

COMPENSATION

· Wages beginning at $25.00 per hour and up commensurate with experience.
