Job DescriptionAbout the Role

Step into a day where precision leads the way. As our Metrology and Quality Assurance Coordinator, you’ll guide quality from raw materials through in-process checks to finished goods. Your morning may start with a first-piece dimensional and visual inspection, ensuring parts meet specifications. From there, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams to fine-tune tools and processes, lock down any nonconforming product, and keep our quality records airtight.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Verify first-piece and in-process parts against standards through dimensional and visual checks.
  • Coordinate tool adjustments and corrections with cross-functional partners to achieve part conformity.
  • Quarantine and disposition nonconforming product; maintain MRB tracking and release decisions.
  • Support receiving inspection with precision measuring equipment; manage incoming checks for fittings.
  • Execute in-process checks for GDI and fitting operations.
  • Complete incoming fitting inspections and steel certificate verification, including signoff and tracking.
  • Run red-rabbit verification on inspection equipment when required.
  • Compile and analyze quality data—scrap, Jomesa testing, MRB tracking/release, and end-of-shift reporting using Pareto charts.
  • Distribute quality reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Contribute to improvement efforts by supporting studies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform audits (IATF, floor, internal, LPA, dock) as assigned by the Quality Manager and communicate results.
  • Coach and train new QA inspectors and production operators in in-process inspection methods.
  • Own plant document control in Plex for IATF and ECR tracking (work instructions, procedures, forms, internal/external prints).
  • Champion LEAP/5S and HSE standards in daily routines.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Fluency in GD&T and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Experience with continuous improvement practices.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 frameworks.
  • Strong command of SOPs and procedural controls.
  • Comfort with quality data analysis and visualization (e.g., Pareto).

Tools & Technologies

  • CMM systems (Zeiss, Hexagon) and Calypso software.
  • Calipers and micrometers for precision measurements.
