\n

The Opportunity

\n

    \n
  • We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join the internal Product Development team and help build and evolve the technology behind our building-intelligence and field-service platform.
  • \n

  • This role works across multiple areas of the application stack — including user-facing web applications, APIs, backend services, databases, integrations, and cloud-hosted applications.
  • \n

  • You'll work closely with our technical and product leadership and collaborate with mobile, data, AI, and external engineering resources.
  • \n

  • We're not looking for someone with an oversized list of technologies on their résumé. We're looking for a capable engineer who understands software fundamentals, learns quickly, works well with others, and wants to take increasing ownership of meaningful product capabilities.
  • \n

\n

\n

What We're Looking For

\n

    \n
  • Approximately 3–5 years of relevant software development experience.
  • \n

  • Experience developing and supporting production web applications.
  • \n

  • Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React.
  • \n

  • Ability to develop, consume, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • \n

  • Experience with a modern backend programming language or framework; Python experience is preferred.
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases and data modeling.
  • \n

  • Understanding of authentication, application security, and system integrations.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted infrastructure; GCP experience is preferred, though AWS or Azure experience is applicable.
  • \n

  • Experience with Git-based development and modern deployment practices.
  • \n

  • Understanding software testing, debugging, and production support.
  • \n

  • Ability to navigate an existing codebase and learn unfamiliar technologies.
  • \n

\n

\n

What You'll Do

\n

    \n
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications, APIs, and backend services.
  • \n

  • Develop features across multiple areas of the application stack.
  • \n

  • Work with technical and product leadership to translate product requirements into practical software solutions.
  • \n

  • Build and maintain APIs supporting mobile applications, web applications, data services, and external integrations.
  • \n

  • Work with relational databases and data-driven application workflows.
  • \n

  • Support integrations between company and customer or third-party platforms.
  • \n

  • Help modernize existing platform capabilities while maintaining appropriate interoperability with legacy systems.
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot production issues across application, API, database, and cloud layers.
  • \n

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
  • \n

  • Collaborate closely with Mobile Engineering, Data/AI resources, and external development partners.
  • \n

  • Contribute technical ideas and perspective during product development and roadmap discussions.
  • \n

  • Use AI-assisted engineering tools where appropriate to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and problem solving.
  • \n

  • Help build shared technical documentation and institutional knowledge around the company platform.
  • \n

\n

\n

We're looking for an engineer who:

\n

    \n
  • Takes ownership of outcomes rather than simply completing assigned tasks.
  • \n

  • Can work effectively without every requirement being completely defined.
  • \n

  • Seeks to understand the business problem before immediately jumping into code.
  • \n

  • Is comfortable moving between frontend, backend, database, and integration challenges.
  • \n

  • Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • \n

  • Raises questions and risks early rather than waiting until they become problems.
  • \n

  • Makes practical technical decisions without unnecessarily overengineering solutions.
  • \n

  • Learns new technologies and systems quickly.
  • \n

  • Accepts accountability for the quality of their work.
  • \n

  • Collaborates well with internal engineers and external development partners.
  • \n

  • Wants to continue developing technically while taking increasing ownership of the platform.
  • \n
