- Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with full benefits; not a temporary job)
- Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15213 (Oakland)
- Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift (On-site; requires participation in a 24/7 on-call standby rotation with team colleagues)
- New Hire Starting Base Pay: $24.40 – $27.50 per hour (Starting salary placement is determined by direct telecommunications infrastructure, PBX, or voice engineering experience.)
- Future Earning Potential: Position salary range progresses up to $36.80 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and IT technical career ladder advancement.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Familiarity with voice communications infrastructure design and support through formal IT education, certifications, or practical experience required.
- Technical Proficiency: Essential foundational IT knowledge and ability to perform standard networking and telecommunications procedures. Understanding of PBX, voicemail systems, wiring support, and basic LAN/WAN/WLAN network topologies/hardware required.
- Operational Availability: Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call standby rotation as assigned.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Telecommunications Support & Maintenance: Execute routine move, add, and change (MAC) requests across PBX systems, voicemail platforms, wiring infrastructure, and voice databases.
- Circuit & Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose basic telecom, circuit, and networking issues; assist with network sizing, hardware installations, and routine troubleshooting.
- Outage Response & Escalation: Maintain clear communication with management during service interruptions, including critical and widespread outages.
- Data Security & Compliance: Protect the confidentiality and integrity of patient and staff data following institutional information security policies and HIPAA standards.
